This is the home page of Paul Sanchez, a flight instructor specializing in training pilots in the proper use of modern avionics.
Todays avionics give general aviation pilots advantages that, until recently, could only have been dreamt about. The promise of greater situational awareness and increased safety are pitched by the manufacturers, but regrettably little training is provided to pilots on the proper use of these products.
Reading the manual is helpful, but of little practical use, especially when you have multiple products integrated. For instance, many pilots will purchase an autopilot, GPS, and a Multifunction display. What book tells you how to use them in conjunction with each other?
Paul Sanchez has specialized in helping pilots with complex aircraft and avionics become comfortable in using the equipment and receives the highest praise and endorsements from these pilots.
Often, you will see him at Sun n' Fun and other events hanging out at the avionics manufacturer's booth. He shows pilots how to get the most out of their equipment. There is usually a crowd of pilots saying things like, "I never knew it could do that."
